If you follow me on Instagram, don't worry. Belle finally got shoes. We had the parent fail of the day when we left the house (admittedly at 3 am) with no coat and no shoes for Belle.
Heading to the Midwest and possible snow (definitely frigid weather)? Who needs appropriate clothing? Apparently not the baby. Uggghhhhh! When you go to Texas and you don't have shoes, you MAY end up with horse boots...
After a super fun flight to Dallas (almost entirely in the dark), we encountered the highlight of the trip so far. Our three hour layover. The funny part is, I'm not kidding. We have an AMEX, and they have a special lounge there with amazing food, a playroom with toys, and Disney Jr., fancy cocktails and coffee AND massages and manicures. We were the great unwashed masses in that swanky place. It was almost a mini vacay and my fingers look AH-mazing. I rarely get a manicure because it's impractical with small kids but this one is fun!
Next flight and all of us were just not fit for human company. We were all miserable and cranky. Aren't you glad you weren't sitting next to us?
After a mere 14 hours of travel we arrived safely. Well, after a brief stop over at the Walmart to get our poor child a coat and some shoes.
It's time to take my cranky butt off to bed so no one has to suffer with me!
Xo,
Christy
