We have had a very busy and super fun weekend!  It started out with a little girl/Mommy date and ended up with a whole family adventure at Hershey Park.

On Friday night some friends and I took the Honeybadger and one of her little friends to see a local high school production of the Wizard of Oz.  I was very impressed!  Those kids have serious chops.  The girl playing Dorothy was pretty amazing.  She could have been successful in any stage version I have ever seen.  Kind of incredible for high school students.

Saturday was a super duper surprise for the kids. We woke up early, picked up a frat bro of my hubby's, and drove for about two hours to Hershey, Pennsylvania.  The whole town was cute, and I cannot wait to go back.  Even the lamp posts have Hershey's kisses on them!

The park itself is nice.  They have lots of rides for every age, including some insane looking coasters that I will ONE DAY get to ride again.  It just wasn't feasible with three little kids who don't wait patiently.

They even have some healthier food choices.  I was able to find frozen yogurt for a healthier treat for the kiddos, and there were two places where guests can build their own salad, etc. I didn't actually eat at those options because the lines were long and the kids were HANGRY.  I packed some snacks (thanks friends on Facebook for the recommendation) and our stainless water bottles.  Just like at Disney, those bottles were invaluable.  It was a hot day and after all of that walking, I was happy for the extra water.

The next time that we go, I really want to try the Chocolate World tour.  It was just too insane in the membrane to try that line.  It did smell pretty magical in there...sigh.

xo,
Christy
