This review is by my hubs, all opinions are his own...obviously.
How does Marvel keep doing it? How can they take character after character, mythos after mythos, make it approachable to the newbie, but keep it smart, interesting, exciting and funny? Captain Marvel is a great movie. It hits all the plot points necessary for a modern superhero movie, but manages to keep you surprised at every turn. The plot is deeply steeped in the Marvel Universe to the uninitiated (Kree-Skrull war anyone?), but does a good job catching you up with the big plot point(s), intergalactic war that needs to end.
