We have HUGE news- we are moving...

After living in Maryland for over 10 years, and having all of our babies here, it is time to say goodbye.  We are alternately gutted and excited to share this news because we have built such an amazing Maryland family.

We did a mini session with Shoott and you can click here.

Here is the crazy part, we are moving to California...in a pandemic!

The background:

My hubby got his PhD almost two years ago and has been really wanting to try some new nerd stuff.  An opportunity came within his company almost a month ago.  He interviewed, got it, and they want him to start work before Halloween!

The fast timeline:

I can't think about it, or I may stress out.  We have done two military moves across the country, so I am familiar with all of that... BUT NOT WITH KIDS...  and not in a MONTH.  I can't go look at houses, hello virtual school and a pandemic, and the houses are on and off the market (where we are going) in a day.

Where will we live:

SO, I have depended on my aunt (and her realtor friend there) to help me.  They are literally walking through rentals with Facetime for me and getting us 6 month lease options. I think we have one. It isn't perfect, but it will do.  I will share more on that when we get there.  I'm also trying to find a temporary place for us to stay (with a dog and cat) until our things arrive.  OMG.

Selling our house:

I have had a friend named Jamie Matthieu for many years. Our oldest girls were in the same preschool class, and when she moved here I basically assaulted her to be my friend.  She became a real estate agent a couple of years ago, and I love her.  She said to me, "Move out, and I will handle the rest."  So we are not selling while we are here.  No staging with the animals while packing, no worry about paint touch up...nothing.  Her team has been incredibly supportive, and I CANNOT say enough about using them for selling here.  Times are weird ya'll. Click here for more information about using her in Maryland.

We don't have an exact date yet.  I will share all of that, and you can follow along.  It has been hard keeping this secret, but I needed to get some ducks in a row and tell our family and friends before we go!  Mostly I will be on Instagram stories sharing all of this craziness!

Read our move is happening this week!
