Crossing the Rubicon

Recently, Christy and I passed a milestone with no fanfare. The day came and went without notice. Despite this, the day marked a significant point in our history together. 

We have now been married with children longer than without.

I still think of us as the crazy twenty-somethings with our hair on fire. We are actually thirty-somethings with spilled milk on our clothes. Soon we will be forty-somethings dealing with teenagers' eye-rolls. Then fifty-something empty-nesters.

Life is so much better this way.
