8 Healthy Easter Basket Ideas for Kids!

Hi everyone!  I'm back with Dr. Jennie, the one who has the PhD in play?  She and I thought we might give you some healthier Easter basket alternatives.  My kiddos will definitely be getting a sweet treat, but these awesome toys will last a lot longer.   Enjoy! *this post contains affiliate links and by continuing to read you are agreeing to my updated privacy policy, here.*

Given my love for toys, it is not surprising that I like to fill my children’s Easter baskets with toys instead of chocolate. Think about all the hours of quiet (okay, maybe not so quiet) play your children will have with these toys, versus running around with a sugar high and chocolate covered fingers!

Here are some of my favorites (just in case the Easter Bunny is looking for some inspiration)!

1. Books (all ages).  You really can't go wrong with tucking an adorable new book in that basket!

 2.    Innovative Kids Puzzle (bigger kiddos) I love toys that do more than one thing! This is not only a puzzle, it is a great toy that encourages imaginative play!

3.    Apple Park Organic Patterned Bunnies (all ages). Who doesn’t want some bunny to love? This adorable little bunny is made from organic, sustainable, and recycled materials and comes in 4 beautiful patterns.

4.    Plan Toys Egg Percussion Set (12 months+). Egg shakers are something kids of all ages like to play with, and these eggs are half maraca, half guiro, and a whole lot of fun!

      5.    Green Toys Watering Can (18 months+) This watering can is great for the bath or spending          time together outside (Spring is around the corner, I promise!).

6..    Kid-O Bubbimals (3 years+) Did you know that bubbles were inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame last year (true story!)? And these aren’t any ordinary bubbles; each animal features a uniquely designed bubble wand.

 7.    Eco-Kids Eco-Eggs coloring kit (all ages).  These all-natural dyes are made from organic fruit, plant, and vegetable extracts. So skip the chemicals and artificial dyes and have fun decorating eggs with dyes that are safe for children and the environment.  If you follow me on instagram, you know that we had a red dye incident recently.  It came right out!

8.    Portrait Bins on Amazon (all ages). Not only does this adorable bin make a great Easter basket, you can use it all year round to store books and toys (goodbye clutter!)
