Audio Books for the Car, Saving My Sanity

Read along audiobooks in the car are changing my life...and here is why!  I don't know about you, but I really don't like to let my kids watch too much TV.  They turn into Zombies (or am I just a Mombie), and cannot hear me at ALL.  Sometimes, like when they are super cranky and I am trying to cook, that is handy.  When I'm in the car for a short trip, not so much.  I recently discovered audio books for the car, and they are amazing!

I often will stop by the library (and ask for recommendations) and pick up a few at a time.  It has really saved me from turning on the movies when I am overwhelmed by screaming.  Let's be real, it happens. Don't forget that through your local library, you may be able to check out children's audiobooks (without the accompanying book) on your phone.  You don't even have to leave the house!  I use overdrive.
