Two Simple Tips for Organized Travel

Two tips for organized travel with kids and without

Two tips for organized travel?  That doesn't seem like enough, right? It may seem silly to buy extra things, just to pack, but these two things are a lifesaver for me.  You all know how much we travel and how much I LOVE to travel.  It isn't easy with kids.  Its pretty much a packing and logistics nightmare, but don't let that deter you! LOL!

One of the #mommyhacks that I have discovered are packing cubes.  They have them on Amazon in a variety of price points.  Here are the ones that I love...

Every family member has their own color.  I can also just organize things by type (depending on the trip).  For example, when we went to Nebraska recently I just used green for jammies and underwear, pink for the girls play clothes, blue for Daddy and R3 clothes and one just for me.  I deserved my own stinking packing cube after all of that organization!  That way I know where everything is in a hurry.  Lately the baby gets her own cube because I will pack diapers, pack and play bedding, sleepsack and all of the other bulky items together.  When we arrive, I just look for the color!

Another worthwhile investment for packing are the resealable ziploc space bags.  I use the huge ones for storage at home and the smaller ones are AWESOME for packing underwear, jammies, bathing suits, or anything else that can get wrinkled and just takes up a ton of space.

That's it!  Two really simple tips to make packing a heck of a lot easier for a group!  Well, that and a huge bottle of wine.
