How I use Pinterest... to Help the Hubs Buy Better Gifts

Dec 29, 2014
I am probably in hot water for writing this.  I may want to reconsider, ok I did, and I'm going for it.  I am going to let you in on a little secret of mine and it involves the hubs, gifts and Pinterest.

The hubs and I just don't see eye to eye when it comes to gifting. He is best known for giving me an electric toothbrush, a vacuum, a blender and a food processor.  Ouch.  Those were the birthdays where he took one look at my face and bought me another gift ASAP.  Here's the fun part, I don't cook.  What I do is for survival during the week.  If I can't Instant Pot it, it ain't happenin and I only touch the hot thing (otherwise known as an oven) under duress.  I am selling myself slightly short, but the gist is that I don't like to cook.  He loves to cook (and is really good at it), so all of those kitchen related gadgets?  He uses them.  Let's not even talk about the Nintendo, that I got one year.  Ladies, am I right?  Am I the only one whose hubs starts scrambling on the computer around Dec 22?

After years of pain for both of us, I got smart.  I started his own pinterest board.  I will pin things that I want and make sure it's populated around gift giving time.  I even (helpfully) will send sale flyers for the things that I have pinned.  I am completely obnoxious, I just realized.

Here is a link to a couple of the boards that I have created for the hubs. I had to give them clever blog worthy names, but they should read s*#%^ the hubs needs to buy me.  Do you have any clever gift hinting ideas? I also need to say that he was not allowed to edit this one.  My guess is that most of this would have been deleted. :)

I will leave you with some of the hilarity that ensues when I try to get a picture of all three kids.  Its like chasing a unicorn, but one day they will all smile and look at the camera at the same time.  Cheers!

She loves them SO much!
