It seemed impossible and to be honest, I was a little scared to have her see our chaos. She walked in, made me feel very comfortable and right off the bat, gave some amazing suggestions. The first? Get rid of the formal dining room. It isn't functional for us right now, and my kiddos needed a place to play where I can monitor their activities.
Done. And done. The table is stored. We took our bookcase full of kids toys out of the living room/dining room and put it in our new playroom! Can I tell you what a difference it has made in my life? Belle has a place to play without the teeny tiny little choking toys all over the place!
Next up? A design plan. I have seen it, and actually started working on it a teeny bit. I honestly can't wait to share it with you! It is a slow process getting all the pieces together, furniture moved, and herding the Kidlets. I have to tell you though, having the fresh perspective of a professional has been a blessing. She has incorporated a lot of our own pieces, inexpensive items that the kids can destroy, and DIY to make something that will be chic, affordable, kid friendly and dare I say? Stained with Style?

Christy
