The Honeybadger Turned Five

Gasp, the horror!  Isn't she still teeny tiny, with Curley Whirleys bouncing all over the place?  I'm not sure in my mind she will ever change from this...

Girlfriend has been planning her 5th birthday party since, oh, the day after her 4th birthday party.  She decided she wanted a sparkle party but cared not about the details.  Other than the cake; she cared about the cake.  You see, the hubs always makes a special birthday cake.  They get to pick the theme, flavor, decoration and anything else that they (or I) want.  I love it when they are too little to pick!

With her class at preschool being so big this year, we decided to invite everyone!  What the heck!  She will probably hate boys next year anyway, so this will be the last year where no one has hurt feelings.

I enlisted the help of Peartree Greetings to help me make it extra sparkly. They have a new birthday party section that had the perfect divalicious amount of bling, but also some practical ideas on how to make some cute personalized party decor.  I found these cute table decorations that I hole punched into a banner.  I think it turned out so cute and there were plenty to put on the table too!

We, read I, decided to have the party at Michaels Arts and Crafts.  It was a winner!  You can pick ANY craft you want and they will provide the room and a person to help coordinate.  We chose painting birdhouses for the craft, and the kids had a blast!  I used the Peatree gift tags, and the Honeybadger decorated each one.  She was so excited.

I am so happy with how the party turned out and I am especially excited about the custom poster that I can hang up in her room.  Those are some of my all time favorite pictures of my little lady.

Forgive me while I wipe a tear.  I just can't believe how quickly it goes by.

Xo,

Christy
