DIY Edible Coconut Sugar Lip Scrub

My entire family has very dry lips this time of year, and truthfully?  I hate lip balms.  They tend to dry out my lips even worse, and make them somewhat dependent on using them.  That's why I came up with this very simple recipe for Coconut Oil Sugar Lip Scrub!  The trays are Mickey, because I love him, but really any would do.

It is just two ingredients.  Yup, I like simple.

I used vanilla infused organic cane sugar.  You take a couple of vanilla beans and put them in a mason jar with some sugar.  Like this:

We use it for special recipes, fancy coffee, and things like that through the year.

So here is the recipe:

2 tablespoons of coconut oil
1 tablespoon of vanilla infused cane sugar
Ice cube molds (I used Mickey Mouse from Amazon)

Melt the coconut oil in the microwave for one minute. Add the sugar, and it will sink to the bottom.  I was able to fill 6 Ice cube trays with this recipe, and you will need to add the sugar to each tray individually.  Put it in the refrigerator until solid. You can safely use it for a month!
