I've been MIA, I know.  My little man had to have his tonsils and adenoids out.  It's a long story but let's just say sleep apnea and little kids is scary.

As a result we are on a soft food regimen for two weeks.  TWO weeks!  Ok, this is pretty easy for the first few days because he feels awful.  After that, he wants what everyone else is eating.  I have had to be creative with family dinners to make sure he isn't left out, and everyone is eating a balanced meal.

For the first 3-5 days it is primarily soft/cold food.

Ice cream
Apple Sauce
Italian Ice
Milk shakes
Yogurt Smoothies (adding strawberries, bananas, peanut butter and variations of non acidic food)
Yogurt
Sherbet

After that I shamelessly have been using ideas from my lovely readers who gave me some suggestions!  Keep in mind he is three and is picky.  He doesn't really like soups, hates potatoes and most veggies.  That makes it SUPER EASY.  Hahahahahahha!!!

Banana pancakes (super soft)

       Banana, baking powder, eggs

Pho (Vietnamese noodle soup)

Lentil soup-here is the recipe

Mac and cheese (with Extra soft noodles)

Ground Sausage, Brown Rice and Better than Bouillon in the pressure cooker

Organic Nutrition Shakes

Pho The Win!

It isn't as balanced as I would like.  At this point I am just thrilled if he eats anything.  This has been a long week and I would LOVE more food suggestions if you have them!

Love,
Christy
