Are You Ready for Kindergarten? I'm Not but Maybe these Activities will Help!

If you have seen me on Instagram or Facebook lately, you know that I am having ALL of the feelings about my son starting Kindergarten.  My kids are currently camping with Daddy, so I am using this opportunity to PURGE ALL OF THE THINGS.  It's really exhilarating.

Anywhoo, I have rounded up some of my favorite KBN bloggers ready for kindergarten/back to school activities.  There are some AMAZING crafts and activities in here, and even some social strategies for those kids (like mine) who may have some trouble in that department.

1.  First, from the Soccer Mom Blog we have this super cute introduction card for teachers.  I actually might adapt it a bit to tell the teacher a bit more about my son's special needs in a really cute way!

2.  The next one is from MaryAnne at Mama Smiles, and she has some great strategies to work on social skills.  I will tell you that we use a LOT of these strategies in our house!

3. From There's Just One Mommy are some really solid ready for kindergarten books.  I don't know about you, but we are always looking for good books around here!

4.  Outdoor Families Magazine has some very creative ways to start doing some STEM/learning projects with your kids.  Even better, they are outside, which is awesome before it gets cold (at least here in Maryland).

5. This next project will be a fun way to incorporate a German back to school tradition.  From Maggie, at Red Ted Art, she shares with us how to make a schultute.  Have you ever heard of it?  Super cute!

6. Deirdre from J Daniel 4's Mom gives us some very fun crafts for some of our favorite books about school.  Also some more fab suggestions about books if you haven't heard of them!

7.  The Jenny Evolution gave me even more great ideas for books.  How did I not know about all of these great books?  #MomFail

8.  Biracial Bookworms has the MOST AMAZING LIST of things.  She calls it the Kindergarten Survival Guide, and it is SO right.  I remember being so surprised, when Clara started school, about how little help they get opening things at lunch.  This guide will answer all of those questions.

That's it folks.  If you want to know what kind of hot mess I was when Clara started Kindergarten, click the link.  It will be worse this time, I already know.  They say it gets easier (insert laughing emoji)!
