We Had a Birthday Party, Got a Tree, Saw Santa, and the Stomach Flu...#ParentingAchievementUnlocked

I hope you all enjoyed the holiday, I know we did.  Did you?  I, fresh off a trip to LA (and crazy jet-lagged) spent four days sharing a room with my brood.  Not exactly the most sleep friendly environment.  The good news is...I didn't cook.  There is no emoji that can fully describe that particular joy!

So...Belle is turning three.

I just can't even really talk about that, but we did have a family party at Thanksgiving (actually on Black Friday).  It was really special because all of the hubs' family was in town, and she got to hang out with her cousins.  Kind of a kid perfect party.

The Santa experience.  We just love this local place for cutting your own tree and seeing Santa.  Its pretty close to our house, and they have the best Santa.  He is so nice and patient, and there isn't ever a line.  Even when the farm is super busy (like the weekend after Thanksgiving), there is no line.  LOVE.  The bigger kids were gung ho, but Belle was pretty sure he was the devil.

The tree.  We found the Griswold family tree.  This thing is so big, our sofa hardly fits.  We literally had to move furniture to make room.  We may have also had to cut a third of the branches off in the back, so we could shove it in a corner.  Yup.  We win the tree award.  The best part was watching my hubby try to haul this thing on the hand card to the processing place on the farm.  IT WAS HILARIOUS!

He's in there somewhere!
The stomach flu.  At least it started outside.  About two minutes after this picture was taken...

We got the tree home, up and decorated.  Just in time for...the hubs to get sick.  I will post more after I bleach my home and body.  Ha! Ha! Kids!
