We Made It! Flying Solo to Florida (Part Two)

Let's just go ahead and call this post what it is...PICTORIUS VOMITUS. In other words, I can't stand how many cute pictures I have and I want to share them ALL!  Ok, not all.  I saved the naked baby pictures for high school yearbook/graduations/weddings.  Clearly that is what they are meant for.  I am busily writing my guide for the must see things in Fort Lauderdale (with kids), but I thought I would give you a little preview of what we did.  Thank you to the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention and Visitors Bureau for inviting us to enjoy your city!

Day Zero: Departure
Leaving DC
 Day One:  Butterfly World

We spent about two hours tooling around observing all of the different butterflies, bugs and flowers.  It was a little cold that day, so the butterflies were hiding.  We did get a special breeding ground tour because of the weather!

Not picking flowers at Butterfly World
Still not picking the forbidden flowers, definitely not while Mommy takes pics.

Awesome ADA accessible park

Day Two:  Snowbirding!

It was all about being outside. The temps at home were freezing and below.  My kiddos were so tired of being inside back in the frozen tundra of Maryland and really enjoyed having access to such great parks!  I loved how they were all covered, so I didn't have to worry about sunburns.

It's hard to get him to smile on camera, but when I do...

They enjoyed being outside!
My little sister DRAGGED me to an open air farmers market at Whole Foods.  Boy was that a bummer!  HA!  Just look at those gorgeous breads.

Clearly I am going to visit every Whole Foods

Prepare yourself peeps, I have a LOT more where that came from!  We had so much fun and with the impending snow storm, I WANT TO GO BACK!

xo,
Christy
