Car Seat Safe Coat... A Review!
Mar 2, 2015
I first saw this car seat coat by Summer Infant at the ABC Kids Expo. The one where I was up at 4 am because I didn't want to miss anything. I. Am. Such. A. Nerd. Anywhoo, this coat really caught my eye.
It caught my eye for a couple of reasons, the first is the price. Compared to some other options it is very affordable. (That Bed, Bath, and Beyond coupon will come in handy!) The other reason is that there are options. This coat not only comes in a fleece fabric, but also a puffer for colder climates.
The one that I was sent for review is the pink and leopard reversible fleece. First, the Honeybadger loves pink. Second, she loves any "Yar" (rawr) print. So pretty much off the bat it was a winner in my house.
Another bonus? It can be worn outside. On the Honeybadger, it looks like a cute little poncho so I don't have to do the old coat switcharoo in the car. Because, I have 12,000 kids. Changing coats is SO not happening.
To test it, we brought our Britax Advocate in the house (as we are in the midst of some crazy cold weather). I strapped both girls in the seat while wearing the coat and took it off of both of them while strapped in. The verdict? A winner!
I'm hoping that they expand into other fun colors and prints.
It is the perfect size for Belle. It's a bit oversized, so I can sort of drape it over her as I take her to and from the car. Unsnapping is a breeze and so was removing it while they were strapped in. Having tried it on a 5 year old and a crawling baby I would say it will last for one child for years. I love a great deal!
I received product for the purpose of review.
